Kurosawa Piano Music Foundation

Mission

Our mission is to inspire the youth, aged 5 to 18, and diverse communities through the transforming beauty of piano ensemble music. KPMF creates opportunities for pianists to learn the art of ensemble in participating in concerts, master classes and workshops.

In April 2011, the mission has been expanded to include activities to help heal, develop and revitalize children in distressed situations by offering music scores, instruments, classes and concerts, initially with emphasis on the Northern Japan region.

Vision

Among the instrument performers demography, the largest musician population is occupied by pianists. While pianists have a number of opportunities to perform in ensemble with other instruments and voice, their education is mostly focused on solo performance. KPMF strives to educate and inspire pianists for ensemble performance so that they discover the joy of ensemble performance and spread  the excitement to every parts of the world.
