Sfmf Collaboration with Kurosawa Piano Music Foundation

In 2008, Sfmf will collaborate with the Kurosawa Piano Music Foundation in the presentation of the first Silicon Valley International Piano Duo Festival, which will be held at the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View from July 2-3, 2008. Based on a similar format as the 2007 Salkind International Piano Duo Festival held last summer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the inaugural piano duo festival in Silicon Valley will present an International Concert as well as an educational component offering young pianists an opportunity to study with the international Festival artists. The Young Artists program will include public master classes, a workshop on piano duo repertoire, a composer seminar/master-class and a closing Young Artists Concert in the evening of July 3.

Many Tthanks to Sherman Clay for providing us for a wonderful venue and pianos for our benefit concert on June 29 (Sun) at 5:00 PM. 

A nationally recognized Italian Piano Duo from Florence will visit the South Bay Area in the summer 2008. This well-knit piano duo will perform as if they are a single person with twenty fingers. Enjoy their great performance and join "Meet the Artists" reception afterwards.
